Candy from Strangers

Fog rolls in, the bar stinks of gin. Betty sits down and her frown, frown falls to the ground. There ain’t nothing like this place back in the rat race, where she took candy from strangers. Out the door she goes, where she stops ain’t nobody knows. She’s out selling candy to strangers.

I saw a girl there, I saw a boy there to. I saw a white horse ride down in a plastic package and it conquered the ground. The whole city fell down on its knees and prayed, and went to an early grave. They had taken candy from strangers.
